Date Selection

Date Selection – Tong Shu

Chinese new year is just around the corner and for 2014 it falls on January 30th. To chinese people regardless of nationality, this is a very important celebration and it is always celebrated in grandeur regardless if you are poor or rich. In the old days the folks will stop working for 15 days full till the 15th day of the Lunar Calendar but nowadays they do not rest that long anymore. So after the long break, chinese people put a lot of emphasis in selecting a good dates to commence work for the new year to bring in auspicious energy to their homes or businesses so that things will be smooth throughout the year.

TongShu

Commoners will rely on the Tong Shu to select a good date. Sample of the traditional Chinese Tong Shu is on the left.

Date Selection has been taught by many schools to be a prerequisite to getting good results in feng shui. I do not disagree to this but the question one should ask is which method is the proper method? Which method that traditional lineage masters use! Which is the Real system?

Problem With Shen Style Flying Star

Question from a Forumer:

Dear all what can I do if I have to plot a map with flying stars and the owner does not have the map of the flat?

FSM: This is a big problem with Shen Style Flying Star which predominates most Feng Shui Schools today.

They will be handicapped when they meet this kind of situation because they primarily use the 8 Pie or 9 Grid method.

8pie or 9 grid

However, at Central Academy of Feng Shui, CAFS, students are taught the authentic method of compartmentalise. With compartmentalise, students can read a house without the need of a floor plan with accuracy and fast. In the last class, when we were at a student’s house, all is needed is a couple of minutes in the house (including taking measurements) and already 3 major things can be told with accuracy.

Student’s Dilemma

Many a times I hear student telling me why they almost give up Feng Shui altogether.

This is a common trend since early of the millennium, Feng Shui was “opened” to the public by several celebrity masters. During that period almost everyone with some curiosity in Feng Shui would like to join in the band wagon with either the hope of becoming Feng Shui Masters like them or would simply be part of the mysterious society of metaphysics.

What Was in 2012…What’s Coming in 2013 ?

2012 has been a fun year for us and me in particular. We have launched our Flying Star courses in Kuala Lumpur by CAFS Certified Instructor and it has been really fun and fullfiling to receive student’s feedback on the course as well some of the cases they were not able to understand before now understood. So Knowledge is priceless but I say real knowledge is really priceless. I always remind myself this phrase, 明师出高徒  & not 名师出高徒.[Great Master produces Great Students & not Famous Master producing Great Students]. I am glad I chose the former.

Master Leyau also has launched his signature course San Yuan Qi Men Dun Jia, a course not known well by other masters. What is found in books are only at a superficial level but Master Leyau has such proficiency in this subject that students can observe the intended “phenomena” in Date Selection thus completing the study of San Yuan School of Feng Shui.

Yes PSY became famous overnight with his Gangnam Style.

Year of the Ren Chen has also brought along some challenges to me personally but thankfully I have managed to overcome it. The lesson I learnt is that apart from having good feng shui, human’s must earnestly put in real effort and with a positive mindset, things will turn out fine. I also thank my friends/colleauges/subordinates who had stood by me.

2013 Snake

Coming 2013…we shall continue to teach the real art of Xuan Kong Flying Star in Kuala Lumpur/Malacca. We also plan to bring back a few other courses back to Malaysia depending on our limited time and resources. We will announce in due time so keep coming back for updates.

As for me, I shall continue to improve on things that I have neglected in 2012. The list is long but please bear with myself…haha…Humans by nature is resistant to change.

Last but not least, I would like to thank Master Leyau & my friends in CAFS & Students whom have made my journey a very memorable one. In our journey of life & quest for true knowledge, what is better than having a good company to share and go along?

Tonight while people are counting down, I am posting to the arrival of 2013…haha..Cheers!

Er Zhai, Feng Shui

A Course Not To Be Missed…二宅实験 (Er Zhai Shi Yan)

If you are serious in the practice of Flying Star Feng Shui, this is a course you must not miss. Why?

This book 二宅实験 (Er Zhai Shi Yan) is the 3rd book of all the cases done by Master Yen Pen @ Eu See Yin on both Yang and Yin Cases recorded by his disciples.

The first 2 books are called Zhai Yun Xin An (New Case Study of House Feng Shui). Here is an article written by Master Issac Chung.

In fact if you search in the Internet on images alone this is what you will see..

All these books are the favourite collection of Masters around the globe and I bet if you visit the private study rooms of Masters, there are sure to be a copy there especially those Chinese Literate masters. However, how many is able to fully interpret the book? This is something I know is only a handful unless they are our graduates.

What is special about this book is that, inside are all the real case done and results obtain but more importantly it has doctrinated the advance theories of Flying Star Feng Shui. Only a Master from the same Lineage is able to understand what are the hidden secrets inside this book.

This is not another Flying Star Feng Shui course, this is one and only unique to CAFS. No way you can equate with other Flying Star courses.

This case study itself, you will learn how to lay a good feng shui formation that is proven, pin point the timing of happening and what is really a sha qi, the compartmentalise of a house and the application onto a plot of land.

Without going through this course, you cannot call yourself a Real Flying Star Practitioner. Next, I share 2 reasons and cases.

Most schools today like to mix and match systems. E.g. they mix 8 Mansion (Ba Zhai) with Flying Star or Mix San He with San Yuan Flying Star & call it Zhong He. They then sell this idea to newbies that they are merging the best of the 2 worlds like you try Western and Eastern medical methods to cure a patient. First of all, Feng Shui don’t work in this manner because they are founded on 2 different systems & it is more like trying to merge 2 religious believe together. Try imagine this, a couple from 2 different religion holding on to their believes and try to bring the best out of 2 religion after marriage. Perhaps there will be an emerging 3rd religion if they ever survive this as a couple.

A likely result from this is the proliferation of different arts each trying to explain what they cannot explain in their current learning. Today Chinese Metaphysicians are going after Qi Men Dun Jia Divination, Yi Jing Feng Shui, Zi Wei Feng Shui, 8 Mansions, Symbolic or play it down or up on “Internal Feng Shui” in an unending cycle trying to search the truth why this and that happened. Why sometimes I get the result and other times nothing happened or it had gone bad?

When the fundamentals are not correct, how do you expect to have the correct results? I have no issues if people wants to learn more but first get the fundamentals right.

We had a case, a client for Yin Feng Shui that the husband passed away after about 9 months living in the new house done by 1 famous feng shui master. After the burial was done, we had chance to speak to the lady who was so traumatized at the passing of her husband aged late forties. We persuaded her to show us the house but at first she was reluctant but later she agreed to show us the house where the husband passed away after a heart attack.

We were surprised that the bed was aligned 45 degrees and was in a 9-5 position in a 9-2.(if you dont understand this, it is understandable as this is unique in our course). We know that the master was a practitioner of mix and match system. If you think mix match is funny, think again! Feng Shui can get people into trouble if it is not done correctly.

On another case, we have a student who only studied 2 courses from Master Leyau, Flying Feng Shui and Advance Flying Star (Er Zhai). After graduation, he did the next 10+ cases and his friends/relatives was astonished how he can tell the house and the occupants so well! This was the testimonial he happily gave Master Leyau. I am not bragging. I am only telling what was told to us by the student himself. I cannot lie for lies will be exposed someday and there is no need to do so. Real conviction comes from real experience.

It is not the problem with the art nor the student nor the master. It is the combination of the Right Knowledge from the Right Master then you will be the Right Student!.

I know most students are frustrated but actually they don’t have to, really! .When you acquire the right knowledge, your skills will be apart from the rest because you and your family deserves to have a better life. Don’t miss this!

Read on to know what you will be getting in a complete San Yuan Flying Star system.

Case Study

Case Study…Taking Direction

Last year I was in Singapore and a long time friend invited me to stay over and as we caught up after so long, we suddenly touched the subject of feng shui since she knew the reason I was in Singapore was to assist Master Leyau in the class. She never thought I could end up in this field…Haha…anyway,

She started to tell me how it all started when the husband engaged the feng shui master to audit the house prior to renovation. Then she lamented that it was not “smooth” even after couple of years. She then asked me a few questions related to what she observed and what the Master told them but I could not comment for a while as I don’t know her house. Finally, she asked me to take a “look” at her house. So as a childhood friend, how can I say no and after all she offered me free accomodation.

Out of curiosity my first question to her was “Where did he take the direction?” She promptly replied me “Here!” . I just acknowledged and wish her good night as it was already late, by my standards..haha… I promised to check it tomorrow morning. I already know the answer because that is not where you should take the house facing based on her condominium structure.

Next morning, while everyone was still asleep, I measured the condominium and later I asked her just a few questions and to my surprised it was Yes all the way…now I know ….

2 lessons learnt: 1. always do good, for you may be returned with free services…haha…2. fundamental things when is not well mastered, it spells disaster for yourself or your clients.

Jokes aside, simple things like where to take direction when is done wrongly, it make a whole lot of difference. Taking house direction or house facing is an art very important in the practise of feng shui.

Unfortunately, in her house, all the furnitures, bed etc…was fixed, typical situation in Singapore houses…sad but lastly I told her only 1 remedy. Happily 3 months later she dropped me a thank you sms that things has improved a little.

I was happy for her…the least I can do for a long time friend.

The reason I shared this is not to sell CAFS courses nor me as a consultant but rather to emphasize that in the study of Feng Shui, don’t be too eager to apply advance techniques or too eager to practise feng shui commercially but rather master the fundamentals well.  There is a saying “Rome was not built in a day.” Acquire the right knowledge for wrong knowledge is worse than no knowledge.

When the basics are strong, many problems are already solved and friends, remember that everything has it’s own Karmic values.

Happy Learning…..

Recently Concluded Flying Star Feng Shui Malaysia.

Here are some news on the recently completed course in Flying Star Feng Shui Course. A very big thank to Master Leyau for hosting us in CAFS Melaka School and going through the practical session with students.

The 4 days was fully packed both day and night. During the day everyone was busy and attentive to the course work during the day and at night we had sumptous dinner, night tour in melaka, “spiritual” training with Grand Master. Extended informal sessions with Master is a real eye and ear opener for all students including me a long time student.

Students have to understand all the Feng Shui case studies and nothing is better in learning than practical experience. One case explains a hundred theories & they all tied up together in application.

Personally, I am very happy to be able to be a part of this noble deed of continuing passing on the real art of Flying Star Feng Shui to more people. Knowledge is important but only if it is Real. Thank you Master!.

Here are some testimonial from students:

Learning in and outside the class is always lots of fun with GM, interesting subjects, materials and discussions, gm wants us to understand all the concept easily by his vast teaching method from his long year experiences, practical learning is something that we definitely cant get from any book of fengshui, make all of us wont this course finish early, especially after having those meals cooked by himself, he, he, yummy,,, thank you so much,, we want to learn more & more,, and more,,, Adios Erwin R Tan – Surabaya, Indonesia

I would like to express my great appreciation for your dedication in teaching us the XK Flying Star feng shui. I have been seaching for real feng shui for long time and now I found the right path. You demonstrated logical way how feng shui audit is perfomed in macro and micro perspective. I wish I can apply what you taught and improve people life.

Thank you – Liew, Kuala Lumpur.

During the 4 days courses (Xuan Kong Flying Star) and stay in Malacca is the best course I ever had. Never regret but gain a lot of knowledge from Great Master Francis Leyau. Master Francis Leyau spends a lot of time with us then his family.

Master Francis Leyau character is patience, passionate, caring, simple, down on earth generous with his time and knowledge. The course conducted is easy and simplifier. It is like fixing a jig jag puzzle.

At the last days we can see the whole picture of what we had learnt. In the evening Master Francis Leyau brings us to eat Malacca specialties food and hot spring water.

During practical time, Master Francis Leyau and Mr. Alan Chong (instructor) will hands on moving the furniture’s and partition of wall to show us. It was a wonderful experience. Mr. Alan Chong is a very easy to get along as if we know each other for years. Mr. Alan Chong will go round on each table to see and guide us.

On the second last day Master Francis Leyau personally cook delicious food for us to eat. Not only us (class) and also invited his ex-student over. It is like a big family from Central Academy of Feng Shui. WE get to know each other. For those who have read our past testimonial should join the first course and you will feel the different. If you read and don’t act is a great lost. If you read and join you are smart and make a correct decision.

Finally, I would like to thanks Master Francis Leyau and family. Mr. Alan Chong to link us to Master Francis Leyau.

Sincerely Chew Woon Ping – JB M’sia.

Exposing the Myth of Feng Shui: 8 Pie or 9 Grid?

Scenario: One of the most hotly debated question of the century, which is the correct method 8 Pie or 9 Grid?

The Myth: They arguably say is 8 pie as 9 grid is not so accurate because it can consider the missing sectors and that Qi comes from 8 direction & that flying stars have only 8 pies and not 9 squares. The center is only necessary to calculate the chart. Then each pie works up to the center.

Then supporters of 9 grid believe this is the correct method according to the Lo Shu 9 Grid. They say this is the more accurate method to describe the Qi in the rooms since most rooms or houses are square.

What happens if the line cuts across the door or room? So the room has 2 or more Qi?

Here is one example…so what is the Qi for the dinning room?   Take a guess!

Then how do you judge which Qi is prevailing? by guessing?, they co-exists simultaneously? or by which sector is larger ?.

Points to Ponder: Do ancient China has fine pencil or protractor to make the 8 pie possible?  Have you ever seen in any feng shui classics example of a 8 Pie house layout? They exist today because the earlier authors through their limited knowledge profess that they have understood from books that this is the way to do it. Who is to verify that understanding?

The Truth: Both are incorrect. In real Flying Star Feng Shui there is no such thing. All these questions arise as they have not got the missing link as taught by Shen Zhu Ren in his book of Shen Shi Xuan Kong.

The real art is Compartmentalize. By compartmentalizing, each room only has 1 Qi & best of all you don’t need to draw lines. Just walking around the house you can already tell the feng shui, no need to make judgement or guess or lay 2 chart and compare or get your feng shui sometimes work sometimes not. This is the correct Feng Shui methodology.

In CAFS, we teach authentic Flying Star Feng Shui as founded by its founder of San Yuan Feng Shui and handed down through our lineage till today.

Flying Star Course in Kuala Lumpur

Over the years, we have a good number of requests and also many has lamented the lack of opportunity to learn Authetic Flying Star course from Grand Master Francis Leyau himself. One of the notable reason is Price and the other is also his availability in Malaysia.

Well, price to me as well as many rich people is just matter of perception. What is important is Value. What value do you get?.

What is the point you attend a cheap course and cannot perform feng shui audit and what more to do it with consistent results?

Grand Master allows students to go back for revision for free, how many do that? Why he does it? Reason is very simple, he understands that feng shui is an art and no one can fully master the art in 4 days and surely you will have questions and he will gladly assist students in this area because he Cares about his students!

GM Francis has been in this field for more than 30 years in fact close to 40 years! Then in 1984 he started Central Academy of Feng Shui (CAFS). A sign of real Value that had stood the test of time.

Because Feng Shui is an art, it takes time to accumulate the experience and that is the pain he had to go through to acquire the status of Grand Master. How many living master has this experience? I mean real audit experience? Those who are practitioners themselves knows that every house is ‘different’, the people living in it are different, the landforms are different, the internal layout is different etc….He is going to cut short your learning experience and save you the pain….this is one value not many can boast but cannot offer.

Today we have to turn down many feng shui audit requests because of his tight schedule and also the backlog from his extensive clientele. He is one few masters who still perform and much sought after for Yin Zhai (Yin Feng Shui). He is passionate in what he does, not just the money.

Most people will know that this art originated from Yin Feng Shui and slowly adapted to Yang (Living Feng Shui). Tell me again how many Feng Shui masters you know still does burial Feng Shui? for 30 plus years he has been doing audits, if it doesnt work, do you think he can still stand inside the feng shui community?

Another indispensable trait of CAFS is lineage. Why lineage is important.? There is no scientific gadgets to measure the effectiveness of feng shui, only the occupants knows. With a lineage, we carry and accumulated the experiences from our other grand masters. I qoute you an example, Grand Master Yen Pen handed down the book ErZhai where it contains 81 cases of Yin and Yang Feng Shui audits that he had done over his life time. There is tracebility of the audits and results. Tell me how many schools are capable of doing so? This is one rare value you can only get it in CAFS.

So my friends, Value not price! The value that CAFS is offering is superbly good!

GM Francis and the team at CAFS has listened and we have created a goodie for students in Malaysia as this year we has decided to bring back Flying Star back to Kuala Lumpur and make it affordable to more yearning students.

For the Good news! ….click here.
