3 Most Difficult

In the world of metaphysics, there are so many truths and mostly myths out there brought on by misguided practitioners. Some are lucky to realise after many years that some of the things were wrong but the damaged has been done. Thus you will notice why some masters changes their theory along their years. It is no surprise the will call this RESEARCH. Why re-search ( to search again) if you already had the original knowledge from your master? Did you master not got his knowledge from his masters and grandmasters? Did your master learn from books? Did your master learned from many different masters and got confused and now trying to make sense of what he had learned?

So there you go, if you are a wise person, you will understand what I am trying to say here and maybe this will cut short your sufferings in subjects of Chinese Metaphysics.

As a practitioner and teacher, through years of observation of the industry I have come to this conclusion, the 3 MOST DIFFICULT things for a student, as a master and as a lineage holder.

Finding A Master

The first most difficult thing is to find a capable master. In today world of heavy and sophisticated marketing, it is not easy to distinguish between real and fake or between the capable over the charismatic speaker.

2021 Astrological Review

Disclaimer: Those who have followed me over the years knows that I am not a fan for general predictions. Thus it was no different for 2020. Some masters got it right while majority was wrong about 2020. The one master who got it almost correct took it from the old text of Earth Mother Classics and expanded it.

This year I have received many invitation including from Exxx Mxxxxxx newspaper to do an on camera interview since they wanted to know about Xin Chou 辛丑 the Metal Ox year (2021) and how it impact Malaysia in particular to Foreign Investment, Economy and Covid 19. There are also many students and group members who are eager to hear some good news from me.

Those who got it wrong is a testament on my teaching to some of my student on this subject of “How To Predict Like A Pro?”. Those of you will know what I have told you in private is correct. Its a little like magic show, its not really magic but some logical, eye deceiving trick applied. Of course the less sophisticated version goes like this.

The famous master will have his yearly talk on date X, then all his students will organise their talk on a later than date X so they will share out to their own customers and audience what their teacher have shared with some minor modification to the presentation. This is the level of Chinese metaphysics today. They were all given a fish but never taught to fish.

Clearly, those who chases after general annual prediction is more of a commercial guy. A true master knows these are not the real application of Chinese Metaphysics. If the commercial guy is in good luck, sure he will get a few corrects. The reason is Chinese Metaphysics is always dependent on the Taiji. If you truly understand what is a Taiji then you will get what I mean.

Nonetheless, it was indeed entertaining to read what these masters have to say. Maybe I will pen down a few over the years of observation.

One master likes to shift the prediction point as he likes. One year he uses the center of the world map which is somewhere in the Middle East and the next year he uses Beijing to justify his predictions.

Reflecting 2020

It has been a tradition for me to pen a few lines as we end each year and this year it is a little late but better late than never. It is late because of time, rushing the BaZi review reports as well Feng Shui annual reports.

We all know the world is still being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Many have lost their lives to this virus and the world economy has come to almost a stop. I can imagine how many have lost their jobs, went bust in their business ventures and yet at the same time some new millionaires are created. Such is the Yin – Yang cycle playing upon us. Today total death from Covid stands at 1.8 million with 83 million infections. 1.8 million could translate to about almost 6% of the population of Malaysia.

At the local scene, Malaysia has not been spared of Covid-19. The 3rd wave has seen a rapid rise after the Sabah State election stamped from the political turmoil. As of today we have seen 463 death from the initial 124 in just less than 6 months. Total infection is 110,485 cases taking a toll on the healthcare system.

Case of The Li Family Ancestral Hall

This is a case shared by a San He master, Wu Yi Mi from China. Very good video and well narrated in both Chinese (Cantonese) and has English subtitle. Here is the video he made and commented. Very generous of him indeed spending his time and money into making this for everyone to learn and see.

I will not narrate more on the history and background of this ancestral hall but rather comment on the Flying Star Feng Shui point of view on this ancestral hall done by a very famous master Lai Bu Yi back in the Southern Song dynasty Era.

Flying Star Feng Shui System – A San Yuan Prodigy

Over the years I have written numerous articles on Flying star a system which I am well versed in. Unfortunately for various reasons, F star has been also criticized. Partly was due to commercial reasons and partly due to poor understanding and depth in this system.

A Point Worth Mentioning

The water flow direction is important in San He water methods. He observed that sometimes the flow seems to be from left to right while other times right to left thus using this method will have limitations.

BaZi, Feng Shui And Superstition

Covid 19 did bring changes to the world of astrology and in this interview with Hong Kong fortune tellers they gave a frank and candid answer. I am sharing this in hope to awaken the people who has fallen deep into to superstition realm.

What is metaphysics and what is psychology and what is superstition and ignorance? There is a difference but I believe many people cannot differentiate them clearly. Perhaps let me give you some example on 2 questions that I was recently asked.

Eclipse on 21 June 2020

Some practitioners will say if you are exposed to this eclipse you will have bad luck thus better stay at home. This is superstition and ignorance not Feng Shui. Imagine every now and then there will be eclipse and how many in this world will be exposed to it simply because people like to take a glimpse of it? Will all these people have bad luck?

Eclipse is just another natural phenomena of the universe and it does bring some energy change but not as in causing bad luck to people exposed to it. I myself have been exposed to it but nothing bad has happened. So people, please wake up and not be too easily fooled by unfounded stories.

Learning Feng Shui Online

Covid 19 changed the fate of 2020 and will be one of my most memorable years to come. So better I pen a few lines on what I have observed here.

Due to the pandemic, many places were forced to closed for almost 3 months and this has take a heavy toll on most business especially brick and mortar business. In our industry the same as Feng Shui Consultants are not able to work in the field. Thus it begs the question why not in the past? The answer is simple because Feng Shui audit is best done on site for various practical reasons.

So what happened during this period is some industry peers have taken Feng Shui audit and Learning to Online Platform. This resulted me being bombarded by students & friends the question, can it be done effectively? So instead of me answering every individual maybe I pen a few words here about what I think as a practicing consultant for the last decade.

Online Feng Shui Training

This will depend why you want to learn Feng Shui. If the reason to learn is for interest, being bored, to satisfy owns curiosity or for academic discussion then I would say its fine and doable. This would be a perfect opportunity to do it.

If the purpose is to learn and hopefully help your own career or business then I would say it is dangerous. There are many reason as to why but suffice to say that I have come across many cases of 2nd or even 3rd time Feng Shui because they got themselves into trouble. Of course you will never see this or read this on Facebook as they are already suffering in silence. You only get to hear their personal side of their stories, whom they learned from etc. This is also why client’s confidentiality is important to me.

The Wrong Entry

I was dealing with a case for a couple who wanted to conceive but was not bearing result. For those who wanted baby but not possible is sometimes a sad case. I have successfully altered feng shui that enabled couples to have baby. In some cases, where the wife had frequent miscarriage was due to Feng Shui could smoothly bear a baby.

As I listened to their predicament, I offer to take up their case since many masters was reluctant. After setting the formation couple of years ago, nothing happened. I went back after 2 years and could not understand why.

I then checked their Bazi and they seems to have that possibility to bear children. Then I asked them if they are medically fit? The husband answered me yes! Ok, I just have to take his word for it. Then I continued to interview his paternal family to see if its other reasons such as Yin Feng Shui. It seems that this is not likely the case.

I did suggest perhaps consider IVF just before I left.

The Surviving Art

Waking up early in a foreign land amist political uncertainty back home in Malaysia where the PM has resigned from both his post and party, it reminds me of this word Surviving. I guess it is no difference in Chinese Metaphysics.

Different people has different experience in Feng Shui. Some had very good experience with flying star while some with other method such as different style of Flying Star, San He, 8 mansion or Yijing Feng Shui or Zi Wei Feng Shui or Bazi Feng Shui. Some are very new contemporary method, some were born out of deception while some were born out of misinterpretation of old classics.

The question is how did they Survived ?

Perhaps at this point I may sound a little spiritual because I want to say to you that Heaven decided not to reveal the art to masses but rather to their chosen recipient. Thus why some people benefitted from Feng Shui, some only had a short quick charm while others sufferred. It is the works of Karma behind the curtain.

I guess if you have done no more than 20 cases you won’t be able to draw a strong conclusion compared to if you have done more than 300 cases.

The art survive because of the success cases because there are many coincidences.

Qi Men Dun Jia And Strategy

奇门遁甲

Many people ask me if Qimendunjia a strategy and should they learn it. Here are my thoughts and you decide for yourself what do you want in your life.

WARNING: If you are a Qi Men die hard fan or someone who likes to be in denial than to accept the truth, perhaps you may want to skip this post.

Let’s first understand what is Qi Men Dun Jia or in short QMDJ. What is the use of QMDJ in the past? Since most Qimen school relates to Zhu Ge Liang as symbol of Qimen then lets go and understand history again.

The Great Military Strategist – Zhu Ge Liang a.k.a Kong Ming

Zhu Ge Liang was a military strategist during the period of 3 Kingdom (220-280AD). He was living in seclusion waiting for someone how appreciate his knowledge and skill to appear. That person who finally came was Liu Bei the blood brother of Guan Gong. There was a war between 3 parties, Cao Cao (Wei), Liu Bei (Shu) and Sun Quan (Wu) and Liu Bei needed a military strategist thus how this lead him to Kong Ming.

Shu – Liu Bei/Kong Ming, Wu-Sun Quan, Wei-Cao Cao

If you like to read more about the history, Tuttle publishing has a book by Luo Guan Zhong which is easy to read.

Battle of The Red Cliff – “Borrow” 100,000 Arrows

Here is an excerpt from a book by Luo Guan Zhong which by the way we don’t know each other thus it is a very independent and unbiased reading.

A Different Taste

I was watching a cooking program the other day and the two hosts was to learn a “grandma” recipe from a household lady and under a supervision from a chef.

Then at the end of the program the two hosts will use the same recipe they have just observed and same ingredients prepared from by the TV program show unit to cook the same. The judgement will be delivered by the recipe holder and her family members as to which host will have the closest taste to the their usual taste.

In this program when the verdict was delivered, it seems that one had the rice a little too saltish, the other did not have the aromatic flavor in the curry etc.

Doesn’t it sound like an irony? same recipe, same ingredient, same cooking environment and similar equipment or tools. The only or likely difference is the cook! Why am I mentioning this?
