Misguide Of Period 9

A popular saying that coming of the Period 9 is the time of rising of women.

Why do they say so? Perhaps it is because they associate 9 with Li 离 Gua and Li Gua is associated with Middle Age Women in the study Yi Jing.

Perhaps the winning of many awards lately by Michelle Yeoh has prompted practitioners to influence the public that the Period of 9 is coming and hence imply that women are rising during the era of the Period of Nine that spans from 2024 to 2043.

With or without her winning, the Period of 9 will come February 2024. This is already a fact! We do not need an omen.

Yin Zhai Feng Shui (陰宅凤水)

Yin Zhai or Burial Feng Shui is one of them most intriguing part of Feng Shui since all Feng Shui studies originate from here.

The most famous classic book of all times is the Book of Burial by Master Guo Pu of the Jin Dynasty.

The study of Yin Feng Shui is extensive but primarily is the study of land forms but all these study of land forms in the end is to explain 2 words and that is Feng Shui. Then from here the application portion has seen many schools practicing differently. There are masters from the San He school, San Yuan school and even masters using 8 Mansion and Bazi Feng Shui method to bury the deceased. Some even use symbolic method like building a lion on the grave. All of them emphasize different aspects of burial.

Example, how & where they place the Guardian God (后土) is different between San He and San Yuan schools.

It is in the Chinese culture as well in the practice of Feng Shui that if you bury the deceased in the right location and direction, the descendants can proper to have riches and power. If bury on the wrong land, accidents, poor health and jail terms can happen to the descendants  How true is it, to many folks remains a mystery but to those who have witness it’s results understands how it works.

I had the privilege to follow Master Francis Leyau in one of the recent class on Yin Zhai (April 2013) and undoubtedly there are many knowledge one must possess to be able to obtain the result of the burial. From land selection, finding the dragon, the neck, the head & the lair (穴) is indeed not easy. Just erecting the head stone alone, there are so many factors to take care and look into it.

It was interesting when Master Leyau explains how and why ancient Chinese built graves in this way as opposed to modern graves as shown on the photo on the right side which is square. There is a meaning based on the study of Feng Shui why round graves are preferred.

Traditional Grave vs Modern Grave

Here are some photos from the trip:

Yin Zhai

The Journey of Feng Shui is indeed like a journey of 1000 miles but if you find the right master you can cut your journey by half but you still have to walk 100 miles first to find the master. This is just a metaphor based on my experience. Feng shui is a subject that you need a real Master to guide and show you how to tie what is written in the Classics to actual practical. Only a master who has walked the distance can show you the right from wrong.

I considered my self lucky in this sense to have met and learnt from Master Leyau. I have seen so many people that have given up Feng shui because they have not been able to learnt the correct method and hence either did not get the results or half the time works and the other half don’t. Some after learning 10 years had to get other services to correct their Feng shui after their business failed. Isn’t it sad that they cannot even get their Feng Shui correct after spending all the years and money learning from their masters ?

This problem primarily comes from 2 major sources. One either the master is too young and had not done enough audits and practical work or they themselves read from the books or so called self studied masters. You can buy plenty of books cheaply in Hong Kong and Taiwan if you could read Chinese. The worst author are those who reads many books and compile them into a 3rd books. The source of knowledge is completely untraceable. This is very dangerous since they cannot tell what is right from wrong, they just assumed that their understanding of the classic is correct.

Xuan Kong Flying Star…Getting To Know The Stars 07

Having talked about stars 1,6,8 and 9 it is time to turn to the 3 devils of flying stars.

Let’s talk about the youngest devil, Star 7.
Star 7 is also known as Po Jun or translated as Broken Army. It gives us a sense of looting and chaotic situation.

Po Chun is Red/Brown (赤) in colour and thus he is also known as 7 Red. Of course there are times when the 7 is auspicious and when it does it will bring a lot fame to the house.

Thus one must know when it it will be auspicious and when it will not.

7 Red in 2013 goes to the West sector & he causes disputes, robbery, quarrels, missing items.

One of the more common way to reduce his strength is by using Water. Water however, cannot simply put…you need to know the rules…

…..next we talk about Star 2…

Feng Shui of Hyatt Hotel Singapore…Controversies or Confusion ?

As I prepare for the upcoming course in Kuala Lumpur, I came across some case studies that I suddenly thought of the Hyatt Singapore.

Many feng shui articles had been written about this Famous Hotel in Singapore in Scott/Orchard Road. Why this hotel shot to fame in the feng shui domain?

It all started by one of our Grand Master Hong Chuan who corrected the Feng Shui of this hotel and resulted in business growth after the audit. You can read more about this in internet.

But what prompted me to write about it now? I have read just too many comments about the feng shui of Hyatt and while today my aim is not to explain the feng shui of Hyatt, I just want to make corrections to a few vastly mistaken facts about feng shui and methods know only to our lineage, the Wu Chang lineage and not as what was written by those who do not belong to our lineage.

Seriously, you cannot comment on something you don’t know and I feel this is irresponsible when they try to downplay  Grand Master’s work.

Here I shall quote several statements and my comments on it.

Many say it is Castle Gate theory as done by Master Hong Chuan. This is not true. This is a method called Door Tilting but not many knows how it works actually though many practitioner tries to use it. And that is not my slipper.

Some even say it is from the San He 5 Ghost carry Treasure. Master Hong Chuan is San Yuan practitioner as his master is Master Yen Pen who did all the cases in the classic book of Er Zhai Shi Yan and Zhai Yun Xin An. Undoubtly, many master has this book in their homes but how many can fully interpret it? But still it is grand to have this book on the shelf!

Master Yen Pen is the student of Tan Yang Wu, our Great Grand Master from the Wu Chang Sect. How can someone just twist facts just to get fame and students!!! Wu Chang belongs to San Yuan School and this is clear!!!

Another author was saying that the original door was facing straight out to the road and that the reception desk was looking out directly to the road and cause wealth to leak out. Obviously, this person does not practice Flying Star Feng Shui. Jiang Da Hong said in the book Ba Zhai Tian Yuan Fu, ‘…to truly understand the 8 houses, you must understand the 9 numbers in the 9 palaces’.

Then a famous master from Hong Kong gave his diagnosis that the poor business was caused by bad Water star 8 at the door and Water 7 was trapped in the center. He then said that Master Hong Chuan tilted so the business is good during Period 7 and 8.  This is again not true. First, he does not understand the rule of the 3 & 5 auspicious in the Wu Chang lineage. Secondly, Master Hong Chuan had advice that by 1984 the feng shui has to corrected again.! This is already a great tip if you truly understand the Art of Door Tilting.

So the guesses goes on…right to even Xuan Kong Da Gua! Speculation after speculation.

To me it is more of a coincidence than real application that someone get good results unless he knows the Art of Door Tilting.

The saying that goes “The Pen is Mightier Than the Sword” is very true. Facts can be just twisted with a stroke of the pen. Generations down the road will learn all the wrong things and twisted history.

Feng Shui Questions Answered 01

Question:

Two years I have ask a feng shui master to do an audit for my house and read my personal life.  I was born in May 01, 1977.
He told me, my best facing direction is S, N, SW, NE. However, I went to few feng shui store n read few book from different author n discover that my best facing  direction is NE, SW, W, NW. I very confuse right now cause I’m in the middle looking for open my second store and trying to finding the facing direction that’s match my personal facing direction.  Can you please clarify this for me.  Your help is really appreciated.

———————————————————————————————————————

My Answer :

Here we have to first understand the methodology he uses before we can say for sure. If we see it from the 8 Mansion Feng Shui point of view, you belong to Ming Gua 2 (I have assumed that you are Male), then your favourable directions are NE, SW, W, NW because you belong to the West Group People.

But you have said that he told you S, N, SW,NE which is a little confusing. I hope it is not typo error. If he was using 8 Mansions system, then the East Group People would have their favourable directions as N,S,SE,E.

8 Mansion school is not a real full fledged Feng Shui system but nonetheless a popular, easy one to perform and learn. Still there are many variations of 8 Mansion practice. Some uses the House Gua to perform the Feng Shui while others uses Ming Gua.

However, you will have to know exactly what method or branch of Feng Shui School he is from before we can comment. Otherwise it is not possible for me to comment as each system has their own rules and ways. Perhaps there could be more than 1 system that he had used. New age thinking: The more the better, cover all bases.!

From the San Yuan point of view, facing & sitting of the property is more important. Ming Gua of a person has, of course a consideration to the Feng Shui of the property. Also not forgetting our environment which does has a significance to the strength of the Feng Shui.

Exposing the myth of Flying Star: Flying Star Landforms

This is one of the series of exposing the myth of Flying Star that many “generalized” Flying Star practitioners are talking about.

At Art of Destiny, we view Flying Star Feng Shui at a Different & Deeper level simply because we teach Authentic Feng Shui.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Today I have picked one simple myth…most practitioners will say that flying star can only be applied internally to a house while externally you have to apply or check using other  land forms studies or methods such as San He. This is matching internally out. Then some will say you have to first look at the Gua Qi (8pie or 9 grid chart) of the Li Fa (land forms) 8 sectors and correspondingly matching with external land forms. This is a very simplistic way of looking at land forms.

The truth is, Flying Star is all about land forms from start to the end; but they way of viewing land forms is not by matching internally or externally in but “matching” them. If you don’t understand this then you are missing something major in the study of San Yuan Xuan Kong Flying Star. You will not able to built a good Feng Shui house consistently because land forms is not merely looking for Mountain and Water. When you can “match” them, the house Feng shui will be strong. Then you can look to set the rest of the formation for wealth, promotion, relationship , health and etc.

Yours truly,

When To Engage Feng Shui Consultancy?

Don’t buy any house before a feng shui audit. May it be a auctioned house or newly developed scheme, it is very important to qualify it’s feng shui suitability first before any serious negotiation starts.

Buying a house is a huge investment, may it be for your own stay or purely for investing purpose.

If you are buying for your own stay, having good feng shui is vital to for long term wealth and good human relations or health. Since you are going to stay there for long surely you would like a house you feel good and that protects and makes life easier.

Even if you are buying as investment, having good feng shui is also important to your tenants so they will pay up their rental promptly and if they prosper, there you have a ready buyer who is more willing to offer you a good price.

Why is feng shui important before the property purchase? Simple answer!. Feng Shui is a study of landforms to allow humans to tap good energy to help us improve our life. But first, you need to match the property with landforms to have good feng shui.

But when I refer to landforms, I am not only referring to the Green Dragon, White Tiger and etc. I am talking about Yang Zhai (house) landforms. This skills is not understandable to many feng shui consultants and yet so important to the feng shui of the house.

For example, from the master plan, there are some sectors where the houses will enjoy better feng shui than others within the same development. This is due to the effects from the landforms. How do we know which will be better in getting better Qi?.

Once the property and landforms are in sync, then other internal structuring can be used to improve the overall Feng Shui. Without supporting landforms, no amount of internal structuring can improve the feng shui significantly. There is a saying that Feng Shui is built on layers and the first layer is the landform.

Anyone who is serious in property should pick up this art of metaphysics so you will can enjoy prosperity year on year.

That is why, for those in the property line such as agents & investors, having good knowledge in Feng Shui is vital. It will pay off in both short and long run.

On another note, if we are buying to resell for a profit, bad feng shui houses or properties are very much harder to sell. To resell for a good profit will also be a problem.

In conclusion, it will be a smart choice to hire a feng shui consultant to audit the house or property before bidding for it. The feng shui consultation fee paid for qualifying a property is worth every single cent.

Next, I will further discuss on the importance of avoiding Sha within Authentic San Yuan Feng Shui System.

Exposing the Myth of Feng Shui: 8 Pie or 9 Grid?

Scenario: One of the most hotly debated question of the century, which is the correct method 8 Pie or 9 Grid?

The Myth: They arguably say is 8 pie as 9 grid is not so accurate because it can consider the missing sectors and that Qi comes from 8 direction & that flying stars have only 8 pies and not 9 squares. The center is only necessary to calculate the chart. Then each pie works up to the center.

Then supporters of 9 grid believe this is the correct method according to the Lo Shu 9 Grid. They say this is the more accurate method to describe the Qi in the rooms since most rooms or houses are square.

What happens if the line cuts across the door or room? So the room has 2 or more Qi?

Here is one example…so what is the Qi for the dinning room?   Take a guess!

Then how do you judge which Qi is prevailing? by guessing?, they co-exists simultaneously? or by which sector is larger ?.

Points to Ponder: Do ancient China has fine pencil or protractor to make the 8 pie possible?  Have you ever seen in any feng shui classics example of a 8 Pie house layout? They exist today because the earlier authors through their limited knowledge profess that they have understood from books that this is the way to do it. Who is to verify that understanding?

The Truth: Both are incorrect. In real Flying Star Feng Shui there is no such thing. All these questions arise as they have not got the missing link as taught by Shen Zhu Ren in his book of Shen Shi Xuan Kong.

The real art is Compartmentalize. By compartmentalizing, each room only has 1 Qi & best of all you don’t need to draw lines. Just walking around the house you can already tell the feng shui, no need to make judgement or guess or lay 2 chart and compare or get your feng shui sometimes work sometimes not. This is the correct Feng Shui methodology.

In CAFS, we teach authentic Flying Star Feng Shui as founded by its founder of San Yuan Feng Shui and handed down through our lineage till today.

FengShuiMastery, XKDG

TeaTalk: Recently concluded XKDG Course.

After the recent concluded Xuan Kong Da Gua Feng Shui (XKDG) course, I was at Wanli Bookstore the other day in Singapore browsing the many Feng Shui Books there, and most books I see the Grand Master’s Tan Yang Wu photo there and somehow associated with him, if what many claims his theories has flaws then why so many authors takes him as reference? Isn’t it contradicting?

Like the saying goes, “You don’t know what you don’t know, only may speculate”, True or true?

The fact remains that Wu Chang Secrets are much sought after by many including seasoned practitioners.

So what are the highlights this round? Nice is what I can say for few reasons;

I made new friends from different cultures and mind you they are really committed. They will through shrubs and hills to learnt. No nicely pave routes or cleared lands a.k.a. as celebrity feng shui tours. You will see things you cannot see else where, how past masters built graves and they apply it.

Learnt to understand how XKDG can working withing the San Yuan system of Feng Shui, how to apply XKDG to get what we want, may it be wealth, relationship, child or even academic studies.

Do you know that XKDG can be applied to various items but which and what are the items?

What is a “Water mouth” ? As opposed to conventional believe of what a water mouth is, Master Leyau explained the real application of water in XKDG.

How do you sight the Mountain hexagram?

In Flying Stars, if you have meet a bad star, has bad landforms and you cannot do any other changes and doesn’t want to shift, we can have a last trick to remedy it..Isn’t it great to have learned this method?

Now you will know why not all family enjoy good feng shui and not all gets the bad effects from the house! Please don’t use San He, Ba Zhai or Bazi/ZWDS to explain. If you need to explain using other systems or methods, you need to attend this course, seriously.

Master Leyau helped students to put the entire bits and pieces together from Stars to Lines into a complete San Yuan systems of Feng Shui. Now the big picture is formed! 感恩师父。

The One System Vs The Mix Match System…

Here is a short article before I take off to Taiwan to join my fellow friends for a Study Tour with Master Francis Leyau…

The mushrooming of Feng Shui schools in Malaysia and world wide has seen some trends developing. Today there are too many mix match feng shui system in the market. An analogy to contrast 4 major differences…The conclusion below…

It is better to apply one system than mix matching systems in Feng Shui
