Many people ask me if Qimendunjia a strategy and should they learn it. Here are my thoughts and you decide for yourself what do you want in your life.

WARNING: If you are a Qi Men die hard fan or someone who likes to be in denial than to accept the truth, perhaps you may want to skip this post.

Let’s first understand what is Qi Men Dun Jia or in short QMDJ. What is the use of QMDJ in the past? Since most Qimen school relates to Zhu Ge Liang as symbol of Qimen then lets go and understand history again.

The Great Military Strategist – Zhu Ge Liang a.k.a Kong Ming

Zhu Ge Liang was a military strategist during the period of 3 Kingdom (220-280AD). He was living in seclusion waiting for someone how appreciate his knowledge and skill to appear. That person who finally came was Liu Bei the blood brother of Guan Gong. There was a war between 3 parties, Cao Cao (Wei), Liu Bei (Shu) and Sun Quan (Wu) and Liu Bei needed a military strategist thus how this lead him to Kong Ming.

Feng Shui Of Modern Hong Kong

Hong Kong has always been thought of as the country of Feng Shui practitioners but how did they perform their Feng Shui? Was it skills or coincidence of time such the reform of China by Deng Xiao Peng.?

One of the significant event that happened to Hong Kong apart from the 1997 hand over was the recent years of protest that marked the deterioration of stability in Hong Kong. If you have followed the news in Hong Kong, especially after the construction of the new legislative Council and the Chief Executive building in 2011 on the reclaimed Tamar site facing Kowloon and Victoria harbour, there have been a series of poor business performance and host of other issues.

History Of Hong Kong

Hong Kong was seceded to Great Britain after the Qing Dynasty lost the Opium war but it was due to return to China upon the lease period which is 1997.

The 1997 handover was a peaceful one and things remained calmed. However most young Hong Kongers are still unhappy over the fact that HK is under China under the 1 country 2 systems rule and for some reason most people don’t understand why because there has been no restriction or sidelining of the people of Hong Kong ever since its return to China. Things gets more intense after the new building was used. Before 2011 there were demonstrations here and there but it was not so well organized. The last 2 major demonstrations was well organized as if they have been trained. Here is a brief chronology of events.

2014	First Major protest termed the Umbrella movement.
2019	Protest of the Extradition rule in June. Stormed the Legco building in July. The protest even spread to inner parts of Hong Kong such as Yuen Long.

Many masters have discussed about this subject but mostly was talking about the shape of the building and some says the earth luck of Hong Kong has expired. Is there such thing as expired earth luck?

In Flying Star Feng Shui, 2- 5 combination is one of the most deadly combination. It is call a 2 5 because its a combination of the Sitting star 2 and Facing Star 5.

This combination can brings calamity from major illness to bankruptcy to accidents. Different people will experience different problems depending on their destiny.

The Cancer Case

The was a case of an old uncle who came from his hometown to live with his son about 3 years ago. He probably did not guess this would be the outcome when he made the decision to leave his hometown to be his only son.

A man whom I know who has good habits from doing gardening to having consistent morning exercises suddenly vomited blood and was rushed to the hospital and was diagnosed with critical stage cancer.

It saddens me because it is something that can be avoided but only if they believed in the effects of Feng Shui.

Many people have cast doubts in Feng Shui because of the many “practitioners” who had brought a bad name to the art and same time it has and still a very much a misunderstood art. Probably due to the complexity and the fact real masters conceal this art to their inner circles, it makes things a little complicated. In fact, I only share the knowledge with my students. If one shares too openly, charlatan will take this knowledge for negative uses.

The So Called Cures!

People selling expensive “Feng Shui cures” claiming they are true arts of Qing Imperial solutions selling at five figures to fish desperate people. However many realize after a few months, the promised effects did not come or did not last beyond a few months. Today people on the verge of a divorce for example will be very tempted to these expensive solutions. Sydney Feng Shui Experience

I was honored to be invited by the AFSC for a conference in Sydney Australia between 8-9 June 2019 as a speaker on the subject of BaZi Astrology.

Land forms was very unusual compared to Asia. Either was vastly flat or hilly but lots of small hills.Naturally, Sydney has a lot of water ways and bays as well as long winding rivers which naturally brought about its flourishing.

Coming here apart for sharing and bring the Nature’s way of BaZi to Australia, I had the time to view some exciting properties that really challenges me.

The Predicted Incident

It was a good trip for a friend when I have warned about the problems coming since last year and it did materialize unfortunately. Stars don’t lie but only if one has the skills to see it! It could have been avoided if it was remedied last year but sadly it did not manage to happen probably they did not take it seriously.

Mall Feng Shui Short Lived

Back in October 2018, I was at Podomoro City for an Feng Shui Consulting job for an office there. Nearby there were 2 malls and when I had time I made a brief visit to the 2 mall with my student. One was an older mall while the other was a rather new mall.

The new mall was completed around mid of 2016 and has 197,000 sqm site area and leasable area of 44,931.43 sqm. It was awarded by as the Best Retail Development for Indonesia back in 2017.

Upon examination, I concluded to my student that the new mall Feng Shui isn’t that good and worried about the future and later before parting to the airport, I informed my client the same.

Fast forward to in March 2019, my client visited me in Kuala Lumpur and the very first thing the told me, “You remember you told me that the adjacent mall Feng Shui is not good?” I replied “Yes, I remembered!, Why?”. In a curious tone he said “Well it closed just recently!”. I was baffled. Normally, here in Malaysia no matter how bad shape is the mall, operators will try to hold on to them. It is very rare case here to close down the mall. They will rather drag for years operating a poor mall. Maybe the profit margins are very good.

Bad Feng Shui Formation ?

Yin Feng Shui – Family of Warriors and Healers

Few years back while I was attending to a Yin Feng Shui case for a client, it entailed some construction work and thus I had to spend some time at the grave site while waiting for the workers to dismantle the tomb stone. It was a hot sunny day so I took shade under a tree.

A while later an elderly man passed by and went attending to a tomb not far away. After he finished he pass by and said “Hello”. He asked me what was I doing there.

So I just casually said “repairing the tomb site”. “Are you the descendant of this grave?” I shook my head and pointed to my client. Now my turn to ask him questions….

I asked why was he there at such a time? Just to make sure he is human….hahaha. He was in his 60’s. He told me that is the father’s tomb and he lives nearby. A chit chat ensued and he told me this cemetery has been around for 40 plus years and his father was among early ones to “settle” here!. He pointed to me his father’s tomb. He told me his father has 11 children and he never really liked the dad. So I Asked him why? Apparently he was the eldest and the dad had a very altruistic character, prioritizing friends above family but admitted his dad was a kind man who helped many people when he was alive.

As the classic says good land is for benevolent people, I believe his dad must have been buried in a good Feng Shui pot. This is a promise of Heaven. The Discussion Of Two Malls – Part 2

After the first postings on the this same subject, this time I will discuss 2 malls that shared the same public facilities which is the KLCC LRT Station. They are the Avenue K and Suria KLCC.

Avenue K

This is the Mall that was opened in 2005 but business has been lukewarm and this lead to reduced tenancy over time and a change was urgently needed to rejuvenate business. https://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2005/06/17/hk-land-city-prop-team-up/

Then in 2013 the management embarked on a courageous move to have a total make over of the mall. When they reopened in 2014, the tenancy went up to 80% according to media reports. Fast forward to 2019, the crowd were mainly concentrated on the ground & lower ground floors especially during lunch hours. The other floors was just having light traffic.

Suria KLCC

It was completed around 1996 / 1997 during the era of Dr Mahathir during his tenure as the Prime minister of Malaysia and the building belonged to the Country petroleum company, Petronas.

In this development, apart from the 2 famous Petronas Twin Towers, there is the Mall (Suria KLCC) and a Philharmonic hall adjacent to it.

It was never known if there were any Feng Shui elements used in the design of this building but some how it was definitely has a much stronger crowd since it’s opening. If you have stories about the Feng Shui design of KLCC, we love to hear from you.

The Dao Of Feng Shui

Studying Chinese metaphysics subjects without understanding the philosophy behind it only makes us hollow in life that only lead a person to a satanic path. Thus why the saying goes Success Without Fulfillment. Many people may appear successful but deep inside its hollow.

I found this posting which I find it meaningful from A friend, Raymmnd Goh and let me share with you the posting and how it is relevant in the study of Feng Shui.

1) “做人要像铜钱一样，外圆内方”
– Zuò Rén Yaò Xiàng Tóng Qián Yí Yàng ，Waì Yuán Neì Fāng
– A person must be like ancient Chinese old copper coin, inside square (upright) and outside round (tactful).

( In the old days of ancient China, Chinese coins has a square hole inside and round on the outside but today most coins if not all are only Round. Square represents the people. Thus a person must be upright in their character or mind(inside) while at the same time we must be tactful and flexible when dealing with people (outside).

It is not different in today’s Feng Shui world, most looks promising or motivating on the outside but hollow inside. Hollow in both substance & virtues. Using scare tactics, selling untested or fake knowledge, giving false hopes or even “attacking” own students in fear of business rivalry.

I have heard of masters who takes a large fees from students but in some parts deliberately mislead to safe guard the real knowledge for their future heir.

Of course such information will never appear in their Facebook or Websites. What ever we do should be upright at least in our hearts first. Thus to be in this industry, it is important to cultivate the right views and understanding on the importance of the impact of our work to the lives of others, then we may find success with fulfillment. It is not about our personal ego or for the glamour of the job but rather to be responsible for our advises. Surely, we are not god thus we do not need to play god like be able to help all in this world or knows all but rather believe we can help someone at least and same time do not harm others because of our wrong advises.

There are many practitioners who have left the industry as far as for the ones I know for various reason but mostly unknown reason. I salute some of them for their courage and honesty.

Auction House Feng Shui

Is buying an auction house a concern in terms of Feng Shui ? It was one encounter that I think this blog will help those who have concerns upon buying an auction house will involve major reconstruction of the house. Is this always the case?

How can we change the Feng Shui or the energy of the house? Does it has to involve extensive renovation involved a some little “tricks”, we can change the fate of the house?

A Different Taste

I was watching a cooking program the other day and the two hosts was to learn a “grandma” recipe from a household lady and under a supervision from a chef.

Then at the end of the program the two hosts will use the same recipe they have just observed and same ingredients prepared from by the TV program show unit to cook the same. The judgement will be delivered by the recipe holder and her family members as to which host will have the closest taste to the their usual taste.

In this program when the verdict was delivered, it seems that one had the rice a little too saltish, the other did not have the aromatic flavor in the curry etc.

Doesn’t it sound like an irony? same recipe, same ingredient, same cooking environment and similar equipment or tools. The only or likely difference is the cook! Why am I mentioning this?
