Bazi and Year of the Metal Rabbit

When the year is near, most book stores in Asia will be filled with predictions for the 12 Zodiac animals. The reason I don’t do general predictions is because, this belongs to the old school of astrology bazi reading where the year pillar is used as reference.

Then the Gods and Killings will come in predicting what will be the overall fortune for those born in the year Rat, Rabbit etc…

Bazi reading (Phat Chee) or Destiny anaylsis has evolved in the era of Xu Zi Ping where he used the Day Pillar as reference and also dropped the use of Gods and Killings stars for reading.

ZiPing Bazi system of reading is more logical and accurate since with the rearrangement, you will find the huge possibilities of combination that relates better to reality.

It cannot be that everyone born in the year of Metal Rabbit will suffer or enjoy the same fate!. Bazi is an analogy like DNA of humans which is unique and not generalized to for example  by blood group.

So to know what is installed for YOU, you need a personalize Bazi Reading. As I mentioned before, you must have the right destiny chart and with good feng shui to support and do the right actions, life will surely be fruitful and noble.

Nonetheless, being a Metal Rabbit year, this year will be a year of surprises, a year of opposition and especially for the agro and mining industries.

I wish all Chinese celebrating A Happy Chinese Rabbit Year.

Some important Feng Shui Advice before we step into 2011

Coming Feb 4th 2011, we usher in the year of of the Metal Rabbit (Xin Mao) year.

In my last article, I have shared the general Flying Star for 2011 and now I will write a little for those who are familiar with 8 Mansion or Bazhai feng shui which is more commonly known by lay people as the East/West Group method.

While most people say that 8 Mansion is not time dependant, it is not true at all. 8 Mansion Feng Shui is not time dependant in that the stars in 8 mansion doesn’t change it’s usefulness over time but each year give each stars different strengths.

For 2011, Sheng Qi and Fu Wei star will be strong for the favourable stars while 5 ghost star will be strong this year.  Again I caution readers as I am generalizing since different house orientation gives slight variation.

The weaker ones will be Tian Yi and Huo Hai.

So those who are in business or wishing to advance their career, Sheng Qi will be helpful. If you wish to have smoother life, remove stress or embarking in a creative career then Fu Wei star can be very useful to you.

If you looking for a house, make sure the house door is at Sheng Qi location if you are looking for prosperity. You may check out my e book on Lulu.com

To know your house for next 12 months in 2011, get a report for only USD35 and know what is in for you. Just email qimgmt@yahoo.com and will advice you how to pay. However, this is not a feng shui consultation.

The Report will show you the strengths of you house’s energy for the next 12 months and enabling you to tap different energies when it is at it’s peak level for maximum effect. This will put you ahead of those who only knows basic 8 Mansion Feng Shui. Timing…timing….timing.

2010 Dec Monthly Flying Star Chart

Coming this Dec 7th, we will be experiencing new solar month, the month of Wu Zi (戊 子) and hence another flying star chart.

What is good for this month? Seems that NE sector is very auspicious for literary endeavour so for writers like me though still an amateur, this will be a good place to sit. Anyone going into new business? A good place to start off.

The worst sector for this month will be South and houses with door at the South beware of health and accidents especially ladies.

Overall it will a rather balanced month in terms of Qi.

Feng Shui for Bedroom

Many posts have been written about bedroom feng shui. Why is there so much writen about the bedroom?

This is because the word bedroom is very much linked to romance or as a resting place?.

bedroom-feng-shui

In feng shui practice, bedroom is about resting and reproduction and so it has great influence on the overall house feng shui.

How can a bedroom affect the overall house feng shui? This is simple list of possibilities:

1. Ability to conceive (assuming medically the couple is fit for purpose)

2. Human relationship

3. Health

There have been many tips given ranging from avoiding mirror, using color, use of essential oils, candles, placement of bed according to forms and structure of the building and many more.

Once someone asked me, ‘is it true that bedroom has to lights off or can i have small light on?’ . Well first you need to understand yourself is can you sleep with a light on? Personally, I find it difficult but my friends cannot sleep in total darkness. This is not the point of concern actually. Depending on the type of energy in the room, the master or consultant will decide if it is better to have lights on and if yes where is the best to locate it.

Occasionally, I do get questions like “do i put a mandarin duck to enhance the romance?” Well you can try but personally I do not subscribe to this theory for result.  Classical Feng Shui is more about formulas on space and time.

The basic thing a bout a bedroom is that it first has to be comfortable and clean.

Remember, the most important thing about bedroom feng shui is finding a energy location and sleep in there. This is my advice for DIY beginners.

As for a Feng shui consultant, we do look more than this level. One of the key thing that we will look for is where is that room located in the house. Then the rest sets in.

Cheers and wish you a good nite sleep!  Sincerely….the fengshui mechanic

2011 Annual Afflictions

Feng Shui Affilictions

2011 will set in very soon on the 4th Feb according the solar calendar. This signifies the change of energy according to Feng Shui.

Briefly the diagram above shows basic afflictions  and wealth areas. (Double click on it to enlarge)

This is the beauty of Feng Shui and that is knowing what is coming so we can be better prepared. Those  who does not have the advantage of feng shui help is sure to have more issues. E.g. someone who install air conditioning unit in West next year will sure to ‘activate’ bad energies and hence bring problems, accidents and other mishaps. I would install it before 4th Feb and avoid unnecessary problems. I have seen numerous of this happenings in my years of practising. Most of this is oblivious to them until they know the root cause but a little too late as damaged is already done.

Annual audit is more a fine tuning rather than used as a full audit by itself. So some area that is unusable is perhaps usable this year and vice versa. Annual energies also helps Feng Shui Master predicts what is likely to happen in the house next year.

Another example would be that some sitting direction has to be adjusted in that year. Not knowing this will leave you puzzling why this year I am frequently back stabbed or they key topic of gossip. This is what I call as fine tuning on a yearly basis.

So afflictions like 3 killings, grand duke (tai sui), 5 Yellow and Year Breaker must be taken seriously. Avoiding these bad sectors is already half good!

However this is not generic, apply to all, kind of stuff and the Feng Shui Consultant has to match it with your overall house and you the person as well. In other words the house has to be read in ‘totality’.

We will be organising a webninar for 2012 Feng Shui in December this year. If you are interested please email qimgmt@yahoo.com to reserve your space as we can only accomodate 15 participants.

The topics will be Feng Shui Afflictions for 2012 and tips.

Note: This is simplified chart for free distribution which may not reflect fully the teachings of WuChang School.

Flying Star Oct 2010

This month West is not suitable for anything important. For those who wants some romance luck or having a rocky time in marriage may want to make use of SW more this month while working things out .

Those with weak health or sickly person, be aware of SE rooms. Do not make any renovations or moving of furniture here.

This month begins from the 8th October to 7th November.

Date Selection – The Basics

Why do we want to select a good date to do something important? Why is it in a Feng Shui solution works better with a good date compared to average or bad date? Does it make a difference?

The answer is obviously yes, if not I wouldn’t even bother to post this article. Again, the only way to know if it is true is when you have repeatedly experienced good results.

There are many methods of Date Selection and intended for various applications. The most common method is the Tong Shu or the Chinese lunar calendar. It uses the zodiac sign of the person and matching it with the date. This is very common in most traditional chinese home where the chinese calendar is a must.

Then there is the 12 Day Officer method and the Dong Gong method which primarily uses the 28 constellation method as it’s founding basis. These methods are more advance and also uses the person’s zodiac animal sign.

They are mostly meant for personal events like starting an important activity such as marriage, starting up a business, signing contracts, successful operation and many more….

Finally, there is the Xuan Kong Da Gua method which is for Feng Shui application. This method, you will need to know the basics of Bazi. XKDG uses the Solar Calendar and the person’s Bazi or 4 Pillars to match the Person to the Date and House.

XKDG Date Selection can be used for applications such as erecting the door, setting the stove, moving into the house, starting renovation, erecting the headstone for grave and etc..

Chinese metaphysics is very much entrenched in the Trinity Concept of Heaven, Earth and Man. They believe that 3 types of Qi exists and so the highest level of feng shui is to gather maximum effect is when all the 3 Qi are present and integrated. This is one layer of Feng Shui Application.

When Date Selection is employed the results are usually more visible, durable and faster. Next I will touch about San Sha ie the 3 Killings.

Magnetic Effects in Feng Shui

One of the most tricky subject in the application of Feng Shui is Magnetic interference to Luopan measurement.

Some say you should take the measurement as it is while most masters say it should be free from magnetic interference.

To understand this is to first understand the relationship between Feng Shui and Magnetic Field.

Today I am going to share some of my views. No right nor wrong…they are just my views.

The universe undoubtedly is very much influenced by magnetic field. Magnetic field is every where and cannot be created, destroyed nor stopped but it can be manipulated.

Earth has huge magnetic field lines aligning itself from North to South Pole. You may imagine this way though it is not exactly the way it exist.

Feng Shui is the management of Qi or chinese way of expressing energy. In Feng shui the formulas was based on understanding where Universal Qi source is and how it flows and how we can modify/manipulate it to our benefit.

To measure is to know what Qi is coming (good or bad) and then decide how to manipulate it. If you agree with me up to this point, then you will agree that to know what Qi is coming, the way we measure it is very important.

To say stand 20m outside the house and take measurement is in my humble opinion not accurate.

To take the direction of door facing from the architect’s blue print is fundamentally wrong.

To take the door with the house grill locked is also wrong. Why? Metal affects the measurement of the Loupan (Compass) but it does not affect the Universal Magnetic field or rather too small to have significant effect.

So what is the right method? Shh….it’s a secret!

Wanna know more……stay tuned.
