San Sha or 3 Killings (三煞)

Every year as you visit book stores or surf the internet, you will find loads of information about annual updates.

Usually everyone will talk about the 3 major killing forces that everybody should avoid. They are namely The 5 Yellow, the Tai Sui (Grand Duke) and San Sha / 3 Killings.

In this article, I would like to discuss one of the particular bad energy of each year or commonly known as 3 Killings or San Sha (Mandarin) or Sam Sart (Cantonese).

First of all the translation of San Sha should not be 3 Killings because in Chinese, as I illustrate below the meaning of . Hence, I prefer to refer it as Sha Sha from now onwards.

Date Selection Series…Violating San Sha

Here was a coffee shop (Malaysian English) that I went about 3 months ago as it was a new outlet and so I thought of giving it a try.

The soup seafood noodle was good and was wondering why business wasn’t that good. So I asked the owner, when did he open the shop?. Casually, he answered “Last month, maybe the business is new so not many knows of my place.” Wow, as if he knew what I was thinking!.

This morning as I pass by the shop thinking of going back to have the noodle again this is what I saw:

Asked the neigbouring shop & they told me the business was poor and so the owner decide to call it quits for now. I hope he had not suffered big losses.

This is one of the many cases of businesses failing or doing medioarce as they have violated the fundamentals of NO-NOs in Feng Shui. San Sha is one of the Destructive forces that any house or business should avoid and this is usually done during the Feng Shui Audit. Possible ways to minimise the effect is by proper Date Selection but this kind of dates that can minimise San Sha is very few available in a year. By the time you have decided you may have passed that auspicious date!.

Technically, where is San Sha? Sha Sha changes every year and month according to the Earthly Branches of the Year or Month. For example, in 2012 San Sha is in the South and for the month of July, San Sha goes to the West. You may visit my Monthly Feng Shui Category to see where it is every month.

The major difference between Wu Chang schools and other schools is how much is the area the San Sha covers. Though some schools are slowly changing their concepts to follow us, nonetheless, many of the schools outside still practice the ‘misunderstood’ concepts.

Unknowingly, you may have violated San Sha but not knowing it and you wonder why despite all the activation still the results is medioare.

Lastly, my advice to the ever enthusiastic entrepreneurs and who also believe in Feng shui, please view (feng shui) the property first before you seal the deal. Having destructive energy that haunts your business for life isn’t a pretty experience. Take time to plan and select a good property. Either you have the time luxury to wait or get on that is free from all destructive energies.

Better still learn up this skill and save your heartaches for life.

Have a great weekend!

Monthly Flying Star July 2012

7th July is just around the corner, so let see what is installed for this Wei Month.

North Sector is most badly affected this Month. If you have a North facing House with a center door, be extra careful.

Also this month, the 3 Killings or San Sha falls to the West side. This is important factor to consider in Date Selection.

Violation of San Sha usually brings calamity. I have seen too many cases.

Flying Star November…

On the 8th November we shall enter the month of 己亥 or the Earth Pig. Let’s look at the flying star for this month:

South again is faced with quarrelling star and as such please refrain from being too outspoken. SE is also bringing accident Qi into the house…especially young girls has to be extra careful.

Pregnant ladies if you are sleeping in NE corner rooms be extra careful with food and rest more, stay away from crowd or secluded areas and look twice before stepping forward.

All East Facing house, no renovation is not allowed at all without proper date selection.

Lets talk a little on the positive sectors, this month NW will be good, West & North is usable.

Students who wants the last push on studies, use North sectors.

Flying Star October….

Time really flies, we are going into October and soon Christmas will come. Hope my readers are doing well…

Here is the Flying Star Chart for October. This month will be the month of Wu Xu (戊 戌 )which begins on the 8th.

This month I have made some “uplift” on the outlook…hope you will like it.

This month the Purple Star 9 flies into the center thus making the 5 Yellow settling on the North Sector. Further the 3 Killings (san sha) is also there this month. What does this makes? Houses sitting on North should avoid at all cost any renovations or move in. Either you do it before the 8th Oct or do it after 8th Nov. This will avoid inauspicious energy.

As for other houses, North is best left alone this month. Disagreement is also possible.

East Facing can attract theft, buglary or mishaps. Don’t forget that Tai Sui is also residing in the East. West facing Houses are to be careful with your health. Pregnant young ladies will have to take extra precautions in particular.

Best Wealth spot is in SE.

Note: This interepretation is read without the knowledge of your house natal chart.

Date Selection

Date Selection – the continuation…

It has been a while since the last post on Date selection and as promised this time I shall talk a little on San Sha (3 Killings).

San Sha in date selection has a few meanings. First, there is the first version which categorize it into Robbery Sha, Calamity Sha & Annual Sha. So violating the San Sha (3 killings), one will be entangled with these 3 kinds of problems.

Another version says that San Sha just simply means the Weakest Energy of the Year. So naturally one will not one to be using the weakest energy because they are useless and weak energy bring problems more than benefits. Which ever reason you subcribe to, still violating the San Sha is disastrous.

San Sha changes location every year. This year in the Year of Mao or Rabbit (2011), San Sha is in the West. Next Year in 2012 San Sha moves to South and so on.

Even Months have their on San Sha. Similarly, the location changes by the month. Month San Sha too have significant impact on the  date selected.

One of the most important task in date selection is to avoid a San Sha when selecting for personal endeavours.

In Feng Shui application,  any house sitting on San Sha should avoid having any form of activities in and around the house. It can be from moving in, establishing altars, renovation and so on….

Violating San Sha can lead to many calamities including robbery, accidents, fined, lawsuit depending what your house feng shui is being afflicted and your destiny chart.

So the final parting words are selecting good date begins by avoiding bad dates. By avoiding bad timing of san Sha, you are already avoided unnecessary problems. By having No problems really gives you a piece of mind allows you to focus &  go all out to achieve the goals you have set.

Important events, is it necessary to have a good auspicious date the help you accelerate your efforts, it is like going on a path of least resistance. I cannot convince you until you have experience it yourself. I believe because I have experienced it many times.

2011 Annual Afflictions

Feng Shui Affilictions

2011 will set in very soon on the 4th Feb according the solar calendar. This signifies the change of energy according to Feng Shui.

Briefly the diagram above shows basic afflictions  and wealth areas. (Double click on it to enlarge)

This is the beauty of Feng Shui and that is knowing what is coming so we can be better prepared. Those  who does not have the advantage of feng shui help is sure to have more issues. E.g. someone who install air conditioning unit in West next year will sure to ‘activate’ bad energies and hence bring problems, accidents and other mishaps. I would install it before 4th Feb and avoid unnecessary problems. I have seen numerous of this happenings in my years of practising. Most of this is oblivious to them until they know the root cause but a little too late as damaged is already done.

Annual audit is more a fine tuning rather than used as a full audit by itself. So some area that is unusable is perhaps usable this year and vice versa. Annual energies also helps Feng Shui Master predicts what is likely to happen in the house next year.

Another example would be that some sitting direction has to be adjusted in that year. Not knowing this will leave you puzzling why this year I am frequently back stabbed or they key topic of gossip. This is what I call as fine tuning on a yearly basis.

So afflictions like 3 killings, grand duke (tai sui), 5 Yellow and Year Breaker must be taken seriously. Avoiding these bad sectors is already half good!

However this is not generic, apply to all, kind of stuff and the Feng Shui Consultant has to match it with your overall house and you the person as well. In other words the house has to be read in ‘totality’.

We will be organising a webninar for 2012 Feng Shui in December this year. If you are interested please email qimgmt@yahoo.com to reserve your space as we can only accomodate 15 participants.

The topics will be Feng Shui Afflictions for 2012 and tips.

Note: This is simplified chart for free distribution which may not reflect fully the teachings of WuChang School.

Date Selection – The Basics

Why do we want to select a good date to do something important? Why is it in a Feng Shui solution works better with a good date compared to average or bad date? Does it make a difference?

The answer is obviously yes, if not I wouldn’t even bother to post this article. Again, the only way to know if it is true is when you have repeatedly experienced good results.

There are many methods of Date Selection and intended for various applications. The most common method is the Tong Shu or the Chinese lunar calendar. It uses the zodiac sign of the person and matching it with the date. This is very common in most traditional chinese home where the chinese calendar is a must.

Then there is the 12 Day Officer method and the Dong Gong method which primarily uses the 28 constellation method as it’s founding basis. These methods are more advance and also uses the person’s zodiac animal sign.

They are mostly meant for personal events like starting an important activity such as marriage, starting up a business, signing contracts, successful operation and many more….

Finally, there is the Xuan Kong Da Gua method which is for Feng Shui application. This method, you will need to know the basics of Bazi. XKDG uses the Solar Calendar and the person’s Bazi or 4 Pillars to match the Person to the Date and House.

XKDG Date Selection can be used for applications such as erecting the door, setting the stove, moving into the house, starting renovation, erecting the headstone for grave and etc..

Chinese metaphysics is very much entrenched in the Trinity Concept of Heaven, Earth and Man. They believe that 3 types of Qi exists and so the highest level of feng shui is to gather maximum effect is when all the 3 Qi are present and integrated. This is one layer of Feng Shui Application.

When Date Selection is employed the results are usually more visible, durable and faster. Next I will touch about San Sha ie the 3 Killings.
