2021 Astrological Review

Disclaimer: Those who have followed me over the years knows that I am not a fan for general predictions. Thus it was no different for 2020. Some masters got it right while majority was wrong about 2020. The one master who got it almost correct took it from the old text of Earth Mother Classics and expanded it.

This year I have received many invitation including from Exxx Mxxxxxx newspaper to do an on camera interview since they wanted to know about Xin Chou 辛丑 the Metal Ox year (2021) and how it impact Malaysia in particular to Foreign Investment, Economy and Covid 19. There are also many students and group members who are eager to hear some good news from me.

Those who got it wrong is a testament on my teaching to some of my student on this subject of “How To Predict Like A Pro?”. Those of you will know what I have told you in private is correct. Its a little like magic show, its not really magic but some logical, eye deceiving trick applied. Of course the less sophisticated version goes like this.

The famous master will have his yearly talk on date X, then all his students will organise their talk on a later than date X so they will share out to their own customers and audience what their teacher have shared with some minor modification to the presentation. This is the level of Chinese metaphysics today. They were all given a fish but never taught to fish.

Clearly, those who chases after general annual prediction is more of a commercial guy. A true master knows these are not the real application of Chinese Metaphysics. If the commercial guy is in good luck, sure he will get a few corrects. The reason is Chinese Metaphysics is always dependent on the Taiji. If you truly understand what is a Taiji then you will get what I mean.

Nonetheless, it was indeed entertaining to read what these masters have to say. Maybe I will pen down a few over the years of observation.

One master likes to shift the prediction point as he likes. One year he uses the center of the world map which is somewhere in the Middle East and the next year he uses Beijing to justify his predictions.

Plum Blossom Divination – Birthday Gift

Students asking me for more real stories on Plum Blossom Divination so I spoken to a few students and SJ volunteered to share this case she did for her self after learning this beautiful art of Plum Blossom.

Yi Jing Study

plum blossom divination is derived from the knowledge of Yi Jing, the earliest knowledge of Chinese metaphysics that already dated back as long as 6000 years ago according to some historical text.

Plum blossom is an easy art to cast and to help us by giving us a clue onto the situation we have concerns and seek guidance. In this case, it was done for learning purposes by the student.

This student has previous knowledge from other schools and she knows that every schools of Yi Jing is also different in their approach and methodology. Let’s read on her story :

Plum Blossom Divination Case

Divination is one of the 5 key aspects of Chinese Metaphysics study. There are various methods to do a divination but the easiest and accurate method is the Plum Blossom Divination or 梅花易数. The other method that is now popularly marketed is the Qi Men Dun Jia method which is harder to learn and very dependent on the calendar availability something the Plum Blossom method do not require.

Divination is a method to guide us and give us a hint about a future outcome. Sometimes all we need is a hint so we are better prepared for the eventualities. Let me share with you a REAL case my student did after learning the art of Plum Blossom Divination.

As a former novice learner of QMDJ, I decided to invest in Plum Blossom Divination (PBD) course offered by Master Alan Chong recently. Strictly personal opinion only, I find that sometimes in life all we want to know is a YES or NO answer. The many formulas and formations of QMDJ can easily lead us down a wrong path if we interpret the formation inaccurately. One of the important facts that I have been convinced is this, if we have 3 person asking the same question at the same time, generally the answer is the same at the specific period of time due to QMDJ formation at that particular point in time. Whereas in Plum Blossom Divination, you are likely to get 3 different answers and formations.

Back to the divination, I was bringing the kids to pet adoption centre on the 31st December. While browsing through the web and screening the available pet for adoption, I have “two minds” about the trip tomorrow. It was there and then spontaneously I decided to do a PBD casting. Taken a glance at an “ object” ie my table clock I decided to use the number image there to do my casting and form my hexagram.

Reflecting 2020

It has been a tradition for me to pen a few lines as we end each year and this year it is a little late but better late than never. It is late because of time, rushing the BaZi review reports as well Feng Shui annual reports.

We all know the world is still being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Many have lost their lives to this virus and the world economy has come to almost a stop. I can imagine how many have lost their jobs, went bust in their business ventures and yet at the same time some new millionaires are created. Such is the Yin – Yang cycle playing upon us. Today total death from Covid stands at 1.8 million with 83 million infections. 1.8 million could translate to about almost 6% of the population of Malaysia.

At the local scene, Malaysia has not been spared of Covid-19. The 3rd wave has seen a rapid rise after the Sabah State election stamped from the political turmoil. As of today we have seen 463 death from the initial 124 in just less than 6 months. Total infection is 110,485 cases taking a toll on the healthcare system.

Case of The Li Family Ancestral Hall

This is a case shared by a San He master, Wu Yi Mi from China. Very good video and well narrated in both Chinese (Cantonese) and has English subtitle. Here is the video he made and commented. Very generous of him indeed spending his time and money into making this for everyone to learn and see.

I will not narrate more on the history and background of this ancestral hall but rather comment on the Flying Star Feng Shui point of view on this ancestral hall done by a very famous master Lai Bu Yi back in the Southern Song dynasty Era.

Flying Star Feng Shui System – A San Yuan Prodigy

Over the years I have written numerous articles on Flying star a system which I am well versed in. Unfortunately for various reasons, F star has been also criticized. Partly was due to commercial reasons and partly due to poor understanding and depth in this system.

A Point Worth Mentioning

The water flow direction is important in San He water methods. He observed that sometimes the flow seems to be from left to right while other times right to left thus using this method will have limitations.

Xuan Kong Da Gua Yin Feng Shui

Xuan Kong Da Gua is a method that was based upon the classics by Master Jiang Da Hong 蔣大鴻 in his works DiLiBianZheng 地理辨正.

DiLiBianZheng Classics

地理辨正 or short DLBZ was a classic that was the result of researched and refined work of Master Jiang Da Hong taken from the works of Master Yang Yun Song who authored the book Qing Nang Ao Yi 青囊奥語 and Tian Yu Jing 天玉经. Master Yang through his works was the precursor to the San He 三合 system today while Master Jiang works lead to the birth of Xuan Kong Da Gua 玄空大卦 which is classified under the San Yuan 三元 system.

The critical words are 辨正, these 2 words simply means to discern the truth. Master Jiang may have discovered the “missing links” or misconception or even perhaps shortcomings to the inner secrets of Master Yang’s works. Thus Master Jiang refined the work of his predecessor. Nonetheless, to be able to do this, it is highly likely Master Jiang is also a learned person in Master Yang’s system or part of his lineage, to be able to grasp and see the inner workings of this system but we never knew.

Xuan Kong Da Gua Feng Shui System

There are many versions of this system out there. The popular versions today are from self learned practitioner from Canada who was an ex-HongKonger. Another teacher from Hong Kong, now deceased is Lam Kwok Hung, who is also the teacher of a famous Feng Shui entrepreneur in Malaysia. Lam like his Canadian counter part, as I was told, is also self learned from book. Then there are the versions from Hong Kong Lineage masters as well from Taiwan. Even in China there are still knowledge but they are more reserved as typical of Lineage schools. They are more conservative in sharing out their inner secrets. If they are accepted into the Lineage, the students have to take an oath to protect the lineage secrets.
