Here is a write up by a Hong Kong Feng Shui Master about why Louis Koo does well in his career. Read On…
I will put in my thoughts below :

Louis Koo, a devout believer in metaphysics and feng shui, enjoys enduring success (Part 1)
Louis Koo, a powerful actor and film mogul in Hong Kong, has enjoyed a stable career and unwavering fortune for many years, widely believed to be attributed to feng shui arrangements that boost his luck. It’s well-known that he respects traditional metaphysics, arranging feng shui in his office and residence. His Kwun Tong office, with its “boiling water steaming horse for wealth” and “golden bell for warding off evil and changing fortune,” is often interpreted as the key to his career success.
However, in reality, these feng shui arrangements are merely superficial, a facade for outsiders, and not the true reason for his good fortune.
The core of Louis Koo’s truly remarkable luck, profound blessings, constant support from benefactors, and consistent box office success lies in his decades of quietly accumulating good deeds and virtuous deeds. For many years, he has quietly dedicated himself to philanthropy, donating to build hundreds of Hope Primary Schools, school buildings, and welfare facilities in remote and impoverished areas of mainland China. He has sponsored countless impoverished children’s education, helped numerous poor families escape poverty, and enabled countless children to overcome illiteracy and change their destinies.
Such accumulated, selfless acts of kindness have amassed immense blessings and positive energy, truly protecting him and benefiting his career.
His life’s success, his illustrious reputation, his best-selling works, and his unwavering fortune are not merely superficial; they are a true manifestation of his profound virtue and the great blessings that come from great kindness. Therefore, the film version of “A Step into the Past,” which he produced and starred in, achieved both critical and commercial success, propelling his career to its peak.
Why Aren’t Feng Shui Masters in the Forbes Top 1000 Richest List?
The answer lies in the hierarchy taught by our forefathers: first Destiny, second Luck, third Feng Shui.

To attain great wealth, one must first possess the destiny for it. Good Feng Shui may smooth the path and reduce obstacles, but it cannot create a destiny that does not exist. Likewise, a person with exceptional destiny can still achieve great success even without ideal Feng Shui, albeit with greater effort and challenges.
This principle applies equally to Feng Shui masters themselves. A wealthy Feng Shui master may indeed possess excellent Feng Shui skills, but his wealth alone is not proof of those skills. His success may simply be the result of a favorable destiny. Conversely, a practitioner who is not wealthy does not necessarily lack competence.
Unfortunately, many people confuse personal wealth with professional ability. They see a wealthy master and assume that his prosperity is evidence that his methods must work. Yet these are two entirely different matters.
When a Feng Shui master claims, “I was born with a poor BaZi, but through my superior Feng Shui skills I became extraordinarily wealthy,” one should pause and examine the statement carefully.
There are several possibilities. The first is that his interpretation of BaZi may be incomplete or incorrect. The second is that such a narrative serves as a compelling marketing story designed to attract followers and clients. After all, how many people are capable of independently verifying whether his BaZi truly supports the claim?
Stories of dramatic transformation are powerful. They appeal to our desire for success and prosperity. For many aspiring students and clients, such stories become a persuasive hook, creating the belief that by learning the same methods, they too can achieve their version of the “American Dream.”
The danger arises when wealth becomes the only measure of credibility. Once that assumption is accepted, critical thinking is often abandoned. Decisions are made based on promises rather than evidence, and people begin to place their finances, homes, businesses, and even their health in the hands of advice that may not have been properly validated.
Throughout the years, I have encountered individuals who spent substantial sums pursuing one Feng Shui solution after another, hoping to solve problems that were rooted elsewhere. Some suffered financial losses. Some experienced serious setbacks in their careers and relationships. Others made life-changing decisions based on advice that was fundamentally flawed.
This is precisely why I believe a complete metaphysical assessment must begin with Destiny. Without understanding the foundation provided by BaZi, one risks mistaking symptoms for causes and effects for origins. Feng Shui remains an important component, but it is only one part of a much larger equation.
To understand why a person succeeds, we must examine the entire picture—not just the Feng Shui, not just the good deeds, but also the destiny that made those outcomes possible in the first place.
