Why do some malls enjoy robust crowd while some others don’t?
Well there are many reasons to this and one of them is Feng Shui factor. Good Feng Shui draws crowd while poor feng shui does the exact opposite.
Lets take this mall for example, Publika that opened in around 2011 and by now it is more than 10 year old. Folks in Kuala Lumpur knows the mall has very poor crowd drawing factor over the years.
Now it is filled with Flea market stalls. You will notice that busy malls will not have Flea market stalls.

Metal Doom Structure
Doom built but it suppresses the Qi as the Doom is Metal Shaped and this caused the Qi suppressed. Without good Qi flow, how can the mall be prosperous?
The master tried to install a water feature to draw in the Qi but results have proven over the years, it is not working.
Water On The Wrong Side Of Mall
Water is can do wonders in Feng Shui because it can either enhance auspicious Qi or it can also strengthen the Sha Qi. Unfortunately, this happened on this mall and it strengthened the Sha Qi thus reducing the wealth luck of all this mall and all her tenants!
Wind Tunnel Sha
This feature is formed like a tunnel directing all the Sha Qi into the mall, killing it softly over the years. Obviously the architect did not realize this designed actually brought harm for this mall. What made it even more unfortunate was the Feng Shui master who did this mall too, did not realize this harmful feature.
Poor Land Form Selection
This is a real sha because there is the hill on the west side of the mall. Some Xuan Kong masters will say, hey, isn’t having Mountain on the WEST fulfils the Direct Spirit criteria? Yes you are right but then you are only at kindergarten level in terms of Xuan Kong Feng Shui knowledge.
Learning Feng Shui is easy, applying and getting positive result in Feng Shui is an Art and Skill. This explains why people who can talk a lot on Feng Shui cannot perform well at it. God is fair.
Certain years it will bring money leaks, slow business, tenant problems and disputes or even tenants leaving this mall. One of them is the Rabbit year which is 2023 mostly. Other recent not so great years are likely to be 2018 and 2020.
Publika has been around for 13 years and yet it has never been a busy/crowded mall like Mid Valley or Suria KLCC or Pavillion KL and one of the reason is due to Feng Shui limitation.
There are simple ways to improve this mall, just that if the management has the will or courage to apply true Xuan Kong Feng Shui.
