Qi Men Dun Jia

Qi Men Dun Jia is an ancient art of strategy & prediction and there are primarily two methods. One is called the San He QMDJ and the other is the San Yuan Version. While strategy part is almost an lost art today, CAFS QMDJ emphasize the strategy part a lot because it is one of the most useful tool in our day to day life.

Here, I would like to share an article on San He Qi Men Dun Jia

How to read a Qi men Dun Jia chart

In Qi Men Dun Jia, the Useful God is based on Heaven (Tian Pan – 9 stars), Earth (Di Pan – 9 stars), Ren (Human Pan – 8 doors) and Shen (the 8 Gods).

The main focus is to work based on the palace where the Useful God is. Then we analyze Heaven, Earth, Man and God. The Useful God is usually the Heavenly Stem of the day. Compare this to the 12 Life Cycles and the combinations. The palace of the Useful God must be in timely (Wang Xiang of the 9 stars). Compare it with the seasons. What I produces is known as Wang, What is same as me is known as Xiang, What produces me is known as Si (dead), what I control is known as Xiu (resting) and what controls me is known as Qui (imprison).

Before reading a chart, first, we must know the Useful God in the position of Guest and Host. Who has the advantage? Analyze the palace of the Useful God. We no longer need to consider the elements of the San Qi, Liu Yi, 9 stars, 8 doors and 8 Gods.

The first step is to compare the relationship in the Day’s stem and Hour’s stems. The day’s stem represented the person who asked the question. The hour’s stem represented the question asked.

The second step is to compare the relationship of the day with the relationship between the Special Useful God which represented the different events with the Useful God.

The third step is to analyze using the person’s year stem as the Useful God. The inner or outer plates are used to calculate the time and place of the event happening. This information will tell us whether the event will take place sooner or later, near or far away.

When analyse based on the relationship in the Day’s stem and Hour’s stem, the day’s stem will represent the person who is asking the question. The hour’s stem will represent the question asked. If both stems fell into the outer plate, then the event will occur far away and take a longer time to materialize. If both stems fell into the inner plate, then the event will occur nearby and within a short time. If one stem each fell to different plates, then the event will occur far away and the time of occurrence will be soon. This is the basic understanding of the location and time of events happening.

How can we tell whether the Useful God is in timely or not?

When the Useful God is needed, it must be produced. The time that it took to produce the Useful God is the time that it took for the event to occur.

When the Useful God needed to be controlled, the time that is needed to control the Useful God will be the time required for the event to take place.

When the Useful God is at the stage of Ku and Xu (Emptiness), the time that is required to fulfil the Emptiness will be the time that it took for the event to occur.

If the Useful God is at the stage of storage, when the storage is clashed, then that will be the time the event took place.

if Useful God is met with punishment or clashed, when the combination occurred will be the time the event occurred. If there is Sky Horse, then when the Sky Horse is timely or clashed, that will be the time the event occurred

The numbers in the palace of Zhi Shi (Door Leader) or Heavenly Stem (Tian Pan) will reveal the time of the event occurred.

If it is based on the monthly seasons, then the stages of the seasons will decide when the event occurred

For example in finding a lost item and preventing bad incidents.

There are three methods.

1) In Qi Men Dun Jia, Geng is always against Jia. Therefore, Geng is the decisive stem.

If Geng appeared on the top of the stem of the year, month, day or hour, it indicated that criminal cases will be solved, criminals will be arrested, lost articles will be found and missing persons will return or be found.

If Geng appeared in the year stem, the issue will be solved within one year. Similarly, if Geng was found in the month, day or hour stem, the problem will be solved within one month, one day or one hour respectively

2) If Geng did not appear on any of the stem, then use the day stem as the Useful God. If the Useful God was the Yin day stem, use the Heavenly Stem above Geng in the chart. If the Useful God was Yang day stem, use the stem below Geng in the chart.

Those stems found in these palaces indicate the time when the event will happen.

3) If Geng did not appear on the stem of the Useful God, use the hour’s stem. If the hour’s stem is on top of the Yin Star, the stem above Geng will indicate when the event will occur. If the hour stem is on top of the Yang Star, the stem below Geng will indicate the timing of the event.

The above mentioned are the three Geng Ge methods. These methods cannot be used when there is Kong Mang (Emptiness) or having Yi and Geng combination (2,7 or 7,2).

There will be a course by Master Francis Leyau on Oct 25-28 2013, for registration please email fengshuimastery@hotmail.my
