I chanced upon this post in Chinese social media and thought maybe I can use this to educate the public and hopefully, I can bring in more senses to some of the people who reads this post.

These are just some of the cultural rituals that is being practiced since many generations in China and bought over here to Malaysia.
Here they will cross over the fire to discard the negative energy that they brought alone so only good ones will enter the house. This is just a folk believe. Why not do it everyday?

Having different items here is the hope to usher in auspicious events in the future such as using tones in the Chinese language. For example, Pistachios is to bring happiness into the house, sweets is to have a happy relationship between spouse.

Having full container of rice is to signify abundance and never go hungry. In other words, it is to ensure our income is not disrupted.

Hanging a red cloth is to ward of spirits and usher in good prosperity.
What that has been shared above are mainly cultural belief and are psychological in nature. Real Feng Shui is about energy. If you sleep in sick bed after some years you will have constant sickness both mentally and physically. The dislikes among spouse will slowly bring them apart and further away.
But the public in general cannot differentiate between what is cultural and what is really Feng Shui practice. Everything seems to have been amalgated into Feng Shui practice !
Real Feng Shui does not need our permission nor believe for it to affect us. God cannot intervene for us despite our prayers to reverse bad Feng Shui energy. Maybe God may send a saint or a devil to us depending what we have done in the past.
An auspicious Move-in date will help bring in more auspicious energy than the red cloth.

Feng Shui is about earth energy, remember this. Real Feng Shui does not need much rituals. Rituals are just a form of showmanship. When you engage Feng Shui , what you want is the results and it can be very rewarding over time.
