Energy is something that we cannot feel, smell, touch or measure with scientific tools and let alone occurs to our conscious mind. This is the reason, why real feng shui practices is difficult to be accepted by the commoners.
They the commoners, prefer something more tangible such as the lucky cat, that color or shape, that crystal cave, the bird cage design kind of feng shui or the numerology plates which is largely symbolic and useless.
Some prefer the all too familiar yet mystical Temple visits seeking answers through a medium. Medium are just human and not trained in real feng shui theories. They will base their answer on their intuition and some simple folklore knowledge of feng shui to advice you. Perhaps the medium will give you a talisman to burn and drink.
If you have been to temples long enough, you will know, they only work on some people for a short term. You should ask yourself, why only SOME people and SHORT TERM only? One should also think, is Temple the rightful place to solve a Feng shui problem?
The underlying workings of Feng Shui energy is too complex to most people to fully understand. What makes it even worse is…..a pretentious expert, or you can call them PSEUDO-INTELLECT. In Cantonese we say…..識少少,扮代表 (sik siu siu, baan doi biu)
