It is sad to read that a 48 year old business as finally given up and called it a day. It lead me to wonder, has Feng Shui anything to do with it’s closure after the relocation?
So our team set out to investigate this case and we managed to get there on the last day of their business.
Good Feng Shui Attracts Customers
Highway Ampang used to see long queues on weekends, and a healthy number of customers during the week, at its original commercial location near Ampang’s Flamingo Hotel, now a fenced-off empty lot cleared by the state government to build the SUKE Highway.
Now situated in a house in Kuala Ampang, the restaurant only sees a smattering of its long-time clientele, a far cry from its prime, and the restaurant has found it steadily more difficult to maintain its business.

Business Entrance In Feng Shui
The final straw, according to the restaurant’s 63-year-old proprietor Elaine Siow, was the high licence fee of RM2,000 every six months for a restaurant in a residential area, drastically higher than the RM900 per year they used to pay at their original commercial location.
This translates to additional RM183 per month of licensing fee and this can be covered, even if you maintain the old price at 1.50/pc – 122 pieces of Yong Tau Foo. This is not a difficult feat. If I go alone, easily I would have ordered 6-8 pieces.
If your business is enjoying good patronage, this is really a very small obstacle. Thus it means the business drop must have been significant. I have utmost confidence with the quality and taste and I believe with good feng shui, this business would have continued to serve the community until today.

There is also another business that closed notably was Fa Yin restaurant by Rama V which was actually Feng Shuied. This case was an missed opportunity for our team to investigate since when we were goggling it, we noticed the permanent closure notice.
Feng Shui For Business
There are many important aspects for a business to thrive and Feng Shui is just one of it. So you may wonder, what is important for a Business Feng Shui setup.
There are many layers to consider such as:
- the surrounding land formations.
- roads
- Main Door degrees
- Cashier
- Kitchen
- Tables as it affects the Qi Flow.
This business failed mostly due to afflictions on the road system and the kitchen formation. This business Sits Xin Faces Yi (E3) is a corner house unit. It has two doors, one at the East and the other in the South side. The Kitchen is located at the North West and West side.
The annual stars in Gui Mao year is as per this chart below.
The sectors of East has evil star 2 while SE has the barbaric star 3 with Star 8 in the South makes the business hard. This is further made worse with malicious Star 5 in NW, will seal the coffin for this business.
This all happens because the Feng Shui formation is weak and wrongly laid out and when visited by annual stars, it becomes like a triggered landmine.
If you what to have a smoother ride in your business, remember that Feng Shui although is only one of the factors of a business success, it is also a significant part of the business success factor.
